- The BeginningThe story of Waraporn Salapao started with the good intentions of a mother who noticed her school-aged children adored salapao and insisted on having it every day after school.Wanting her children to enjoy quality food made from carefully selected ingredients, she set out to make this delightful dish at home. Her kids enjoyed it so much that they encouraged her to make it more often. What began as a family endeavor eventually led to experimenting with selling salapao at their home. Passersby who tried it became hooked on its unique taste and quality, thanks to the soft dough and generous fillings made from high quality ingredients. Word of mouth quickly spread, and the small salapao shop in Nang Lerng became increasingly well-known in the neighborhood.
- Improvements and ExpansionWhen the children finished university and entered the workforce, they grew concerned about their parents, who had little time to rest due to the large quantity of salapao they had to make daily to keep with the demand.Wanting to help, they joined the family business to lighten the load. One day, they had a bright idea: why not turn the salapao stall into a cozy, air-conditioned café with seating, similar to popular fast-food spots? Salapao, after all, is as convenient a food item as hamburgers or sandwiches. This led to a revamp of the original Nang Lerng store and the first expansion into a “Salapao Café,” which also featured additional menu items like single-dish meals, mantou, and beverages to cater to their customers’ cravings.
- The Next Step for Waraporn SalapaoWaraporn Salapao continues to evolve, expanding production capacity and experimenting with new product and services to meet the diverse preferences of customers.—all while maintaining the homemade quality that everyone loves.Today, Waraporn Salapao is well-known for its convenience, with stores spread throughout Bangkok, its surrounding areas, and other provinces. Yet one thing has remained steadfast since the very beginning: the commitment to product quality. Every item is crafted with care, just like the meals a mother lovingly prepares for her children.
